Curtain Call Interschool English Skit Competition Concludes with Great Enthusiasm at Pravara Girls English Medium School & Jr. College, Loni

Pravara Girls English Medium School & Jr. College, Loni, successfully organised the "Curtain Call" Interschool English Skit Competition 2026–27 on 18th July 2026 at Gangubai Stadium, Loni. The event was conducted with great enthusiasm and witnessed remarkable participation from various schools.

The programme was held under the guidance of Dr Susmita Vikhe Patil, Chief Executive Officer, Pravara Rural Education Society; Dr Shivanand Hiremath, Additional Chief Executive Officer; Mrs Leelavati Sarode, Director, School Education Department; and Dr Pradeep Dighe, Director, Technical Education Department.

The winners of the competition were:

• First Prize: Pravara Central Public School, Pravaranagar

• Second Prize: Pravara High School, Kolhar

• Third Prize: Pravara Girls English Medium School & Jr. College, Loni

The Best Actor Award was presented to Prem Kadam of Sainik School, while the Best Actress Award was won by Arya Bhalekar of Pravara Girls English Medium School & Jr. College.

The participating students showcased their talent, creativity, and team spirit through outstanding skits based on various social issues. Dr Renu Patil, Principal of PGEMS, appreciated the students for their excellent performances and highlighted the importance of such competitions in nurturing confidence, communication skills, and artistic expression.

The performances were judged and critically evaluated by Prof. Dr Shrikant Susar and Prof. Dr Rohini Kasar, who appreciated the participants for their creativity and stage presentation.

The impressive stage décor, colourful costumes, and vibrant performances created a truly theatrical atmosphere, perfectly reflecting the spirit of "Curtain Call."

Dr Renu Patil, Principal of PGEMS, and Mrs Vidya Gade, Principal of PKVM, congratulated all the participants and emphasised the importance of drama and public speaking in the overall personality development of students.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs Harshada Nehe. The programme concluded with the distribution of trophies and certificates to the winners and all participating teams.

The event proved to be a memorable experience, fostering self-confidence, creativity, teamwork, and cultural awareness among students.

The programme was meticulously coordinated by the English Department teachers, Mrs Rajshri Kharde, Mr Jalinder Gade, and Mr Balasaheb Gaikar, whose dedicated efforts ensured the grand success of the competition.
