Adding another feather to his cap, he entered the world of reality shows, appearing in DateBazi (Amazon Prime & Amazon Mini TV), where he emerged as the runner-up, and LoveHouse, which showcased his unfiltered and fun side.

On this special day, Raaghav opens up about his career, challenges, inspirations, and what’s next.

1. How did your journey in the entertainment and media industry begin?

My journey started with anchoring. I always loved the magic of voice and storytelling. From there, it moved towards radio and then podcasting. Now acting — har platform ek naya way of telling stories hai. Every step added a new dimension to how I connect with people, and I think that’s the most exciting part of this journey.

2. Which role came naturally, and which challenged you the most?

RJ-ing came very naturally, because talking and connecting with people is my strength. Acting challenged me the most — kyunki usme you have to unlearn yourself and become someone else. It’s tough but also liberating, because you get to live so many lives in one lifetime.

3. How do you prepare before going on air as an RJ?

Honestly, I don’t over-prepare. I just keep my energy positive, stay updated with what’s happening around, aur mic ke saamne bas apna honest self deta hoon. The mic can sense honesty, so I make sure I go in with a clear head and an open heart.

4. How do you adapt your style for different audiences and formats?

Stage pe it’s all about high energy, radio pe warmth and spontaneity, and podcast pe I keep it intimate — like I’m talking to just one friend. Har platform ka apna flavour hota hai, and I enjoy experimenting with that versatility.

5. What’s your process as an actor — instinct or research?

It’s a mix of both. Research gives me depth, instinct gives life. Camera ke saamne instinct takes over. But without research, that instinct won’t have the right base, so dono ek dusre ko complete karte hain.

6. A memorable behind-the-scenes moment?

During a theatre rehearsal, I completely broke down in an emotional scene. Audience nahi thi, but my co-actors hugged me. That moment taught me — acting is not performance, it’s truth. Ever since then, I have tried to bring that same honesty into every role.

7. How does RJ's experience influence acting, and vice versa?

RJ-ing taught me spontaneity and timing. Acting taught me patience and silence. Dono ek dusre ko balance karte hain. Together, they make me sharper as a performer in every medium.

8. What inspired you to start podcasting?

Podcasting gave me freedom. Radio has format and rules, but a podcast is raw and real — no time limit, bas honest conversations. It’s like opening up a personal diary and letting people find their connection in it.

9. What makes a podcast truly engaging?

Authenticity. If the listener feels you’re honest and giving them value, they’ll connect. Trends come and go, but honesty in voice never goes out of fashion.

10. Podcast – future of radio or parallel platform?

Parallel platform. Radio is like live theatre, podcasts are like books — dono ki apni charm hai. Ek listener radio se hamesha connected rahega, aur podcast ko apne pace pe consume karega — dono apne space me grow karte rahenge.

11. How do you stay authentic and grounded in the public eye?

By reminding myself, people connect with Raaghav, not a fake version. Family, friends and my roots keep me grounded. Whenever fame feels overwhelming, going back to basics keeps me real.

12. Who inspired you in your career path?

As an RJ, RJ Rohit’s connection inspires me. As actors, Manoj Bajpai, Irrfan Khan and Naseeruddin Shah — their realism is gold. For anchoring, I love the energy of Maniesh Paul. Each of them proves that craft and individuality are more important than glamour.

13. How do you deal with creative blocks or low days?

I allow myself to feel it, but then I remind myself — mic and camera are not about me, it’s about the audience. That responsibility gives me energy. Bhagte hue shehar mein mere paas sukoon jo mujhe low hone hi nahi deta. This shift in focus always lifts me back up.

14. You have also been part of reality shows like DateBazi and LoveHouse. How was that experience?

Reality TV was another exciting chapter. DateBazi was special because I reached the finals and became the runner-up on Amazon Prime & Amazon Mini TV. It pushed me to be more vulnerable and real on-screen. LoveHouse was different — it gave me a chance to explore myself in a fun, social experiment format. Both shows taught me that audiences love honesty more than perfection, and being real is the biggest strength one can have.

15. Any new projects coming up?

Yes, a new podcast series, a live show, a TV appearance, and a short film where I’m playing a very raw character. Each project is a new challenge, and I’m excited to bring different shades of myself to the audience.

16. Advice to youngsters who dream of RJ, acting, or podcasting?

Don’t chase glamour, chase the craft. Respect the mic and camera, and they’ll respect you back. Patience and originality are the real assets. If you’re authentic and consistent, success will eventually come looking for you.

On his birthday, RJ Raaghav Parmar reminds us that passion, honesty, and patience are the real gifts that keep a creative journey alive. From radio to reality shows, from stage to screen — Raaghav’s story is proof that the best chapters are yet to come.
