Grandparents' Day Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm at Pravara Girls English Medium School & Jr. College, Loni

Grandparents' Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy at Pravara Girls English Medium School & Jr. College, Loni, under the Padma Bhushan Dr. Balasaheb Vikhe Patil (Loknete) Pravara Rural Education Society.




The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. Susmita Vikhe Patil, Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Shivanand Hiremath, Additional Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Pradeep Dighe, Director of Higher Education, and Mrs. Leelavati Sarode, Education Director of the institution.




The programme commenced with a welcome address by the Principal, who explained the purpose of celebrating Grandparents' Day. In her speech, she emphasised that instead of allowing children to become addicted to mobile phones, they should spend quality time talking with their grandparents.



She highlighted that the values and life lessons imparted by grandparents serve as a lifelong treasure for children. She also welcomed and appreciated the large number of grandparents who attended the event.




On this occasion, Mr. Chandrabhan Shelke, Mrs Lata Shelke, Mrs Alka Kharde, Mr. Ramesh Kalwaghe, and Mrs Leela Kalwaghe were invited to preside over the programme as representatives of the grandparents. The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a floral tribute to the portraits of revered personalities.




The students expressed their love and respect for their grandparents through speeches, dances, and a skit. The performances, based on the themes of love, sacrifice, care, and values shared by grandparents, won the hearts of everyone present.



Several fun-filled games were organised especially for the grandparents, who participated with great enthusiasm. The winners were felicitated with prizes by the dignitaries in the presence of the Principal.




The programme was compered by Mr Nilesh Parvat and Mr Sandeep Aher, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Mr Kisan Adsul.


The programme concluded on a joyful and memorable note. The event was made successful through the dedicated efforts of the teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and students.
